SAEMANN TO DONATE COUNCIL SALARY TO LOCAL GOOD CAUSES

Councilmember Rob Saemann to Donate City Council Salary to Local Civic Projects and Community Causes

Demonstrates commitment to public service and reinvestment in Hermosa Beach

HERMOSA BEACH, CA – Councilmember Rob Saemann announced today that he will donate his city council salary each month to local civic projects and good causes that benefit the Hermosa Beach community. Beginning immediately, 100% of his council compensation will be directed to organizations, initiatives, and community needs that strengthen our city.

"I came to public service to give back to the community that has given me so much," said Saemann. "My salary should work for Hermosa Beach, not for me. It can help to support some great local projects over the next four years.”

This commitment reflects Saemann's long-standing belief that leadership is about service, not personal gain. As a 50-year contractor and lifelong Hermosa resident, he has consistently prioritized community over self-interest—from his years volunteering on the Public Works and Planning Commissions to his advocacy work with ACCESS Hermosa. He is President of the Hermosa Beach Kiwanis Club, which has donated many thousands of dollars to local causes over the last 100 years.

The donated salary will support a range of initiatives, including infrastructure improvements, community programs and ocal nonprofit organizations that serve residents in need.
