I am a City Councilmember committed to keeping Hermosa Beach moving forward. As a contractor with 50 years of hands-on experience, I understand the value of doing things right, and doing things smart. I have built and remodeled dozens of projects in this city, both residential and commercial. I’ve built custom homes, multi-family units and restaurants. I’m used to getting things done.

I served originally as a Public Works Commissioner, before serving for eight years on the Hermosa Beach Planning Commission. I was elected to City Council in 2022 and I served as Hermosa Beach’s Mayor during 2025-26.

Since taking office, I have worked to restore critical community spaces, invest in long-neglected infrastructure, and create a city government that actually listens to residents. I believe that leadership means showing up every day to make Hermosa as good as it can be.

I truly feel that Hermosa Beach has been given extraordinary gifts. It's our job to cherish them, improve them, and pass them on - better than we found them.

That means:

Continuing to carefully invest in infrastructure that keeps our city safe and beautiful.
Keeping government responsive to residents and businesses. We work for you.
Protecting public safety while building community trust.
Making smart financial choices that balance today's needs with tomorrow's opportunities.
Supporting the organizations and volunteers who make Hermosa special.

Speaking of volunteer organizations, I also serve as the President of the Hermosa Beach Kiwanis Club. It’s a wonderful organization that has been raising money for local good causes for 100 years. What I enjoy most is rolling up my sleeves and being part of that work. Every Christmas, you’ll find me at the Kiwanis Tree Lot by the Community Center, usually dressed as Santa Claus !

For me, that’s what community service is all about. It’s not the title, it’s showing up, pitching in, having a little fun, and working alongside our community. Being involved with Kiwanis reminds me that what makes Hermosa Beach special isn’t just the beach or the weather. It’s all of us, coming together as a community to look after our city, and to leave it better than we found it. We are Hermosa.
